A little look inside.

Moth has made a flag for the highest hill, and Pebble has packed breakfast. But the hill will not stay where a hill should. Follow two friends and a rather unusual landscape.

Read the pictures and words together, or let the cast tell the story while you turn the pages.

From the book

Shall we turn the page?

Moth finishes a bright lime triangular flag while Pebble packs exactly two sandwiches for a climb before sunrise.
Moth had made a flag for the highest hill. Pebble had packed breakfast. They meant to reach the top before sunrise, when the whole valley would turn gold. “I shall eat my sandwich in the sky.”
At the crooked oak Moth checks the map while Pebble looks behind himself; their one hill is now beyond the mill.
The hill stood behind the crooked oak. But when they reached the oak, it stood behind the mill. Moth checked their map. Pebble checked behind himself. “Hills don't usually do that.”
