A little look inside.

Goose can deliver a grandfather clock, a bathtub or an extremely cross goat. Surely one purple parcel will be easy? Follow a hopping delivery through a town getting ready for its parade.

Read the pictures and words together, or let the cast tell the story while you turn the pages.

Goose could deliver a grandfather clock, a bathtub, or an extremely cross goat. This morning she had one purple parcel to take to Parade Square before the parade set off. “An easy day,” she said, polishing her postbag buckle. The parcel was wrapped in purple paper and tied with a yellow ribbon. Its label said, “Mister Thump. Parade Square.” She tapped the label. “One parcel,” said Goose. “I can certainly manage that.”
Parcel caught in a small self-propelled hop; Goose bends neck to look beneath it, one wing held back for balance, skeptical open-beak address. Landing shadow shows a modest gap.
